The Great Conjunction...Jupiter and Saturn on a Solstice evening.

On a beautiful snowy evening here in the Northern Hemisphere up in the mountains of British Columbia where I sit and write in my studio the Sun 🌞 will wander into Capricorn bringing with it the winter solstice. At that very time Jupiter and Saturn meet, as they do every 20 years in conjunction at 0 degrees Aquarius. As these two planets are outer planets they represent and affect us collectively as a generational cycle.

The Solstice is celebrated as a time when light returns. It is incredibly special that this Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn will happen on the solstice and at night. Most Great Conjunctions are not visible or easily visible. This Great Conjunction has started a new cycle in the element of air, having moved through earth signs. As the dynamic between the two great planets is the expansion of ideas and energies, Jupiter versus the how it is structured, Saturn. There is a kinship between the two planets as well as tug of war between their energies. Jupiter the optimist and gambler, full of faith and grandeur traveling with Saturn the stoic, dry, practical realist. The element of air sets the stage for where those new energies are acted out. The shift away from earth means that the traditional view of creating tangible things in tangible places, industrialism being an example, will be less valued. Air energies like crypto currencies, data, experiences, space, electricity and a more free range view of work will reinvent society. In fact society or globalization itself is another aspect that we will see mutate or change. Initially we will feel it as a one step forward two steps back energy within the world. Reluctance and resistance by those who were born and lived most of their lives within the earth cycle. The Fred Flintstone model of work and life. Those people will find it tougher to buy into the changing structure of society and life. Once we properly step into this new cycle our world and humanity itself can reach amazing heights.
