On December 21 st, 2020 at 10:02 Universal Time all of us in the Northern Hemisphere experience the winter solstice. Those in the Southern Hemisphere have their summer solstice. The South Pole of the earth is tilted towards the sun directly over The Tropic of Capricorn. The sun enters the sign of Capricorn ♑️ Throughout human history it is has been celebrated. In the North it is the short day and longest night. Pagans see it as a time when the sun is reborn, the return of light, often called Midwinter and Yule. I will certainly be having my sacred fire on that evening.
